When the camcorder is used with the waterproof case (WP-V1) underwater, the recording program must be set to [ Underwater]. Because it is not available initially, perform the following procedure to add the [ Underwater] recording program. This procedure needs to be performed only one time.

The camcorder must be securely loaded into the waterproof case before it can be used under or where it may come in contact with water.

1. If there is a memory card in the camcorder, remove it.
   
2. Press the [<> Movie/Play] button to open the index screen.
   - If the single photo screen appears, move the zoom lever toward W.
   
3. Using the joystick (, ) select the SD card tab (HF20 only) under the icon.
   
4. Press the [START/STOP], [PHOTO], and [VIDEO SNAP] buttons simultaneously for at least two seconds.
   
5. Using the joystick select [YES] and press [SET].
   - The camcorder will automatically turn off. When it turns on again, the [Date/Time] screen will appear. Set the date and time.
   - Select [NO] to cancel the operation.
   
   

IMPORTANT:

Do not disconnect the power source or turn off the camcorder during step 5 of the procedure.
