Set RX Start Speed to a slower setting.
Solution
RX Start Speed
If phone line conditions are less than perfect, transmission (send) and reception (receive) problems can occur. Decrease the reception (RX or receive) speed if fax transaction error message appear frequently on the LCD.
- Press the <FAX> button to enter the Fax menu.
- Press the <Menu> button.
- Press the left or right arrow button to select [Reception settings] , then press <OK>.
- Press the left or right arrow button to select [ RX START SPEED], then press <OK>.
- Press the left or right arrow button to select from: 33600 / 14400 / 9600 / 7200 / 4800 / 2400, then press <OK>.
- Press the <Stop> repeatedly to return to Fax standby mode.
