When the indicator blinks, the camera is writing, reading, erasing or transmitting an image to or from the card. Do not perform the following or image data may be lost or corrupted:
Do not shake the camera.
Do not turn off the power or open the SD card slot / battery cover.
The use of the separately sold Compact Power Adapter is recommended to power the camera during long usage sessions.
Be sure that the camera power is off. Slide the battery cover lock () in the direction of the arrow and open the cover ().
Insert the battery as shown.
Close the memory card slot / battery cover (), pressing down and sliding it until it clicks into place ().
Inserting the Memory Card
1. Insert the memory card as shown into place.
2. Close the memory card slot / battery cover (), pressing down and sliding it until it clicks into place ().
Ensure that the memory card is correctly oriented before inserting it in the camera. It may damage the camera, or the camera may not recognize the card, if it is inserted incorrectly.
