Troubleshoot print issues
Check the possible causes and solutions below to resolve your printer issues.
Cause |
Solution |
Wrong paper and print quality settings.
|
|
Ink tanks are low. |
|
Orange or protective tape remains on the ink tank.
|
-
Make sure all of the protective film is peeled off and the air hole is exposed, as illustrated in (A).
-
If the orange tape is left as in (B), pull the orange tape and remove it.

|
Ink doesn't eject properly from the print head nozzles.
|
Print the nozzle check pattern to determine whether ink ejects properly from the print head nozzles.
-
If the nozzle check pattern isn't printed correctly, check to see if a particular color's ink tank is empty.
If ink is present in the tank, clean the print head and then print the nozzle check again.
-
If the problem isn't resolved after cleaning the print head twice, perform a deep clean of the print head, then print the nozzle check again.
-
If the problem isn't resolved after a deep clean, turn off the printer and perform another deep clean after 24 hours.
-
If the problem isn't resolved after the second deep clean, service is required.
