Your printer may not be detected during the wireless setup in the software installation. When the Check Printer Settings dialog box is displayed, try solutions 1 to 4 one by one in order.
Before you begin

First make sure your printer and router are turned ON. Then, turn OFF every device and turn them ON again.

Please position the printer and router with no obstacles between them.

Select Redetect to continue the setup.
Confirm settings

Make sure the wireless network (LAN) connection is active.

Tap MENU (A) on the printer.

Use the left, right, up or down arrow to select the Setup icon.

Use the left or right arrow to select Device settings then tap OK.

Use the up or down to select LAN settings, then tap OK.
-
Use the up or down to select Confirm LAN settings, then tap OK.
-
Use the up or down to select WLAN setting list, then tap OK.
-
When WLAN setting list displays, confirm that Active is displayed in Connection.
If Active is not displayed in Connection (Inactive is displayed), the printer is not connected with the access point or the router. Please perform wireless setting setup again.

Review the firewall security settings

The Firewall software interferes with the necessary network communication.

The operation of the Firewall security software may interfere with the communication for the wireless setup.

Register the following files to the Firewall security software as a file with access permit, or perform the setup with Firewall paused.

Refer to the instruction manual for the security software, or contact its manufacturer if you would like to stop the Firewall. Disconnect from the Internet before you disable the Firewall operation of the security software.
Review the router settings
Your access point or router setting may interfere with the wireless setup. Check your settings then perform the installation. Also, confirm if the access point or the router firmware is the latest version.
To update the firmware or change the settings, please refer to access point's (router) user manual, or you may contact the manufacturer for help.

Use the same SSID (Network name) for the computer as the one for the printer.
Confirm the printer MAC Address

Tap Menu (A) on the printer.

Use the left, right, up or down arrow to select the Setup icon.

Use the left or right arrow to select Device settings, then tap OK.

Use the up or down to select LAN settings, then tap OK.

Use the up or down to select Confirm LAN settings, then tap OK.

Use the up or down to select LAN setting list, then tap OK.

When LAN setting list is displayed, confirm the MAC address.
