Changing Movie Sizes and Types (ImageBrowser EX)

Solution

Using the supplied [ImageBrowser EX] software, you can change the size or format of movies before saving them.
IMPORTANT
  • The operations described here assume that the ImageBrowser EX software from the supplied CD (DIGITAL CAMERA Solution Disk) has been installed, and has been updated over the Internet.
  • In this section, Windows 7 is used as an example. Depending on the operating system you are using, on-screen displays and operations may differ slightly.
  • Movies you edit this way cannot be returned to the camera.
  • Playback of some scenes may not be smooth if you change the frame rate after movie editing.
  • Saving movies may take some time. In particular, saving movies in MOV format may take a long time. Note that the time required may vary greatly depending on computer performance and movie size (resolution).

Supported Movie Length
If [MOV(H.264)] is selected in [Save image type], the maximum supported lengths of movies you can save are shown in the table below. A message will be displayed if you attempt to save a movie longer than this. In this case, trim the movie or reduce the size (resolution).
