How to set Continuous Shooting (PowerShot ELPH 530 HS / 320 HS, IXUS 510 HS / 240 HS)

Solution

You can shoot continuously while the shutter button is pressed and held down fully.
For the PowerShot ELPH 530 HS / IXUS 510 HS, the maximum speed for continuous shooting is approximately 2.6 images/second, and for the PowerShot ELPH 320 HS / IXUS 240 HS, the maximum speed for continuous shooting is approximately 1.9 images/second.
IMPORTANT
  • The following explanations are provided based on the assumption that the [Shooting Mode] is set to [Program AE] (
    ).
  • Cannot be used with the self-timer or [Blink Detection].
  • Continuous shooting speed increases in [Low Light] (
    ) mode.
  • If you are using the PowerShot ELPH 320 HS / IXUS 240 HS, during continuous shooting, the focus position and exposure will be fixed at what they were when the shutter button was half-pressed.
  • Depending on the shooting conditions, the camera settings and the zoom position, the camera may stop shooting momentarily, or the shooting speed may slow down.
  • As the number of images increases, the shooting speed may slow down.
  • If the flash fires, the shooting speed may slow down.
  • If you use Face ID in [Continuous] (
    ), the name recorded in the image will be fixed to the location where it is displayed in the first shot. Even if the subject moves, the name will stay fixed in the same position for any subsequent shots.
