Copying data from the built-in memory to an SD memory card

Solution

You can copy your recordings from the built-in memory to a memory card. Scenes and photos will be copied from the index screen or from a story in the gallery in the built-in memory to the same index screen or story on the memory card.

Copying Scenes from the [AVCHD Movies] or [MP4 Movies] Index Screen

1. Open the [AVCHD Movies] or [MP4 Movies] index screen.
  • Check that you have selected the & (built-in memory) tab.
REFERENCE
For AVCHD movies, to copy all the scenes recorded on a specific date, drag your finger left/right until the desired date appears in the title bar.

2. Select the scenes to copy.
2-1. Touch [Edit].

2-2. Touch [Copy (
) ].

2-3. Touch the desired option.

dateCopy all the scenes recorded on the date shown in the control button. For AVCHD movies only.
SelectSelect individual scenes to copy.
All ScenesCopy all the scenes.

3. To select individual scenes
3-1. Touch on the individual scenes you want to copy.
A checkmark
will appear on the scenes you touch. The total number of selected scenes will appear next to the
icon.

Touch a selected scene to remove the checkmark. To remove all checkmarks at once, touch [Remove All] > [Yes].

3-2. After selecting all the desired scenes, touch [OK].

4. Copy the scenes.
4-1. Touch [Yes]*.

*Touch [Stop] to interrupt the operation while it is in progress.

4-2. Touch [OK].

Copying Scenes from a Story by Rating

1. Touch [
] and then touch [AVCHD Gallery].
  • Check that you have selected the
    (built-in memory) tab.

2. Drag your finger right/left to bring the desired story to the front.

3. Touch [Story Details].

4. Touch [Select by Rating].

5. Desired rating marker corresponding to the rating of the scenes to copy, and then touch [
].

6. Copy all the applicable scenes.
6-1. Touch [Edit Story] > [Copy (
) ] in that order.

6-2. Touch [Yes].

Touch [Stop] to interrupt the operation while it is in progress.

7. Touch [OK].

Copying a Single Photo

1. In single photo view, select the photo you want to copy.

2. Touch the screen to display the playback controls.

3. Copy the photo.
3-1. Touch [Edit].

3-2. Touch [Copy (
) ].

3-3. Touch [Proceed].

3-4. Touch [Yes].

4. Drag your finger left/right to select another photo to copy or
touch [
].

Copying Photos from the Index Screen

1. Open the [Photos] index screen.
Check that you have selected the
(built-in memory) tab.

2. Touch [Edit].

3. Touch [Copy (
) ].

4. Touch [Select] or [All Photos].

5.To select individual photos
5-1.Touch on the individual photos you want to copy.
  • A checkmark
    will appear on the photos you touch. The total number of selected photos will appear next to the
    icon.
  • Touch a selected photo to remove the checkmark. To remove all checkmarks at once, touch [Remove All] > [Yes].

6. Touch [Yes}.

7. Touch [OK].

CAUTION
  • Observe the following precautions while the ACCESS indicator is on or flashing. Failing to do so may result in permanent data loss.
- Do not open the memory card slot cover.
- Do not disconnect the power source or turn off the camcorder.
- Do not change the camcorder?????????s operating mode.
  • When copying photos onto an Eye-Fi card, photos will be uploaded automatically if you are within the range of a configured network. Always verify that Eye-Fi cards have been approved in the country/region of use.
NOTE
  • In the following cases, you will not be able to copy recordings to the memory card:
- If the memory card slot cover is open.
- If the LOCK switch on the memory card is set to prevent writing.
- If the file numbering is at maximum.
- If there is no memory card in the memory card slot.
  • Scenes that were edited using the supplied software VideoBrowser and were then transferred back to the camcorder cannot be copied to the memory card.
  • If there is not enough space on the memory card, as many files as possible will be copied before stopping the operation.
