To use AirPrint with your printer, your firmware may need to be updated with our Printer Update Utility.

This article contains information on what is needed to perform the firmware update if the update is needed.

Firmware is the set of instructions built into your printer. These instructions set and control all of the functions that the printer can do. Think of firmware as the printer's operating system.

To get set to use Airprint with your printer, refer to the steps below.

 

Check to see whether or not a firmware upgrade is needed

Click here to check if the firmware update is necessary

 

If a firmware upgrade is needed, the following items are required.

USB cable

PIXMA MX432

A computer with the printer drivers already installed

If a firmware upgrade is needed, perform the following steps

  1. Download the Printer Update Utility

  2. Perform the Firmware Update

  3. Delete the additional Printer Listing
