Description
Set Copy Intensity to Manual or place the document on the platen to copy using Auto Adjust.
Solution
Auto Adjust
If Copy intensity is set to [Auto adjust] and a document is placed on the printer's auto document feeder (ADF), message [Cannot scan from ADF] will appear. Set Copy Intensity to Manual or place the document on the platen to copy using Auto Adjust.
Make sure that the machine is turned on.
Press the Menu button.
Press the left 
left or right 
arrow to select Copy intensity and then press the OK button.
Press the left left or right arrow to select Manual adjust and then press the OK button.
Note: If you want to copy using Auto adjust, load the original on the platen glass. See the illustration below.
If you select Manual adjust, use the 
button to decrease the intensity or the 
button to increase it and then press OK.
Press <Back> repeatedly to return to Copy standby mode.
Attempt to copy again.
