Vertical Shooting

The camera bottom has vertical-grip buttons and a dial

  • Before using the vertical grip’s buttons and dial, set the vertical-grip ON/OFF switch to <ON>.

  • When not using the vertical shooting controls, set the switch to <OFF> to prevent accidental operation

The vertical grip’s Multi-function button 2 and depth-of-field preview button  will function even when the Vertical-grip ON/OFF switch is set to <OFF>.
