Description

During Live View shooting, focusing takes time (EOS 6D)

Solution

In case of [ (Face detection) Live mode], [FlexiZone - Single], focusing will take longer than with [Quick mode].
Set the [Quick mode] for quickly focuses.

In case of [Quick mode] , the dedicated AF sensor is used to focus in One-Shot AF mode, using the same AF method as with viewfinder shooting.
You can use eleven AF points to focus (automatically selected). You can also select one AF point to focus and focus only the area covered by that AF point (manually selected). In Basic Zone modes, the AF point will be selected automatically. You cannot select the AF point.
The [Quick mode] setting procedure is as below.

1. Set the cameras power switch to <ON>.

2. Press the <MENU> button to turn on the menu screen.

3. Press the <Multi-controller> to select the [ ] tab.

4. Select the [AF method], then press <SET>.

5. Select the [Quick mode], then press <SET>.
NOTE
Using [Quick mode], although you can focus the target subject quickly, the Live View image will be interrupted momentarily during the AF operation.
