About the printer driver setting
In order to achieve the best picture quality when printing, it is recommended to set the printer driver according to your printer as shown below.
Be sure to use the latest version of the printer driver.
Media Type: Photo Paper Pro Luster

If "Photo Paper Pro Luster" setting is not available in the "Media Type" menu of your printer driver, select "Photo Paper Plus Semi-gloss".

If "Photo Paper Plus Semi-gloss" setting is not available in the "Media Type" menu of your printer driver, select "Photo Paper Plus Glossy II*" or "Photo Paper Plus Glossy*".
* It is recommended that the print quality setting be set to "High".
For users of Pro-1, Pro9500 Mark II and/or Pro9000 Mark II:
If "Photo Paper Pro Luster" setting is not available in the media listings, download the latest driver and software from the official Canon web-site and install all of them on your computer.
This makes "Photo Paper Pro Luster" available in the media listings.
The software will be updated sequentially. However Easy-PhotoPrint EX is not supported.
