Using the Main Dial

Solution

Using the Main Dial

(1) After pressing a button, turn the <> dial.

When you press a button such as <MODE>, <AF/DRIVE>, <>, or <ISO>, the respective function remains selected for 6 seconds. During this time, you can turn the <> dial to set the desired setting.

When the function selection timer ends, or if you press the shutter button halfway, the camera will be ready to shoot.

  • Use this dial to select or set the shooting mode, AF mode, metering mode, AF point, ISO speed, exposure compensation (when the <> button is pressed), card, etc.

(2) Turn the <> dial only.

While looking at the viewfinder or top LCD panel, turn the <> dial to set the desired setting.

  • Use this dial to set the shutter speed, aperture, etc.

The operations in (1) are possible even when the power switch is set to <LOCK>
