Solution

To improve print quality issues you can adjust the print head.

Note If the remaining ink level is low, the print head alignment sheet won't print correctly. You should first replace the FINE cartridge.

Before you begin

  • Paper should be white and clean on both sides.

Print the alignment sheet

  1. Make sure that the printer power is turned ON.

  2. Load a sheet of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the front tray.

    1. Open the output tray extension.

    2. Open the paper output tray.

    3. Pull out the paper output support.

  3. Press the Setup button, and the Setup menu screen will appear.

  4. Use the Back or Forward button to select Maintenance, then press OK.

  5. Use the Back or Forward button to select Head alignment, then press OK.

NoteThe print head alignment sheet won't scan if you load it in the ADF (Auto Document Feeder).

    1. Lift the document cover gently.

    2. Load the sheet print side facing down.

    3. Align the triangle mark Triangle mark on printed sheet on the printed sheet at the top left of the sheet with the arrow mark at the corner of the glass surface Arrow on printer surface.
