Description

Troubleshoot the "Printer not responding" message on your PIXMA MG6220 that is connected wirelessly.

Solution

If you use your PIXMA MG6220 printer on a wireless network, you may see a "Printer not responding" message.

Refer to the following list of causes and click on the link to learn how to resolve the issue

  • The computer and wireless router have lost connection. Restart the computer and attempt to print again.

  • The wireless router and printer aren't communicating. Power the router and printer off then on to restore communication.

  • The printer driver isn't set to the correct printer port on the computer. Make sure the printer driver is configured to the proper port.

  • The printer will detect nearby wireless networks. It's possible the printer is connected to the wrong network. Confirm that the network name matches the one selected on both the printer and computer.
