• The printer is too far from the router, resulting in a low signal strength. Move the printer closer to the router. 
   You can print out the network settings and check the listing for signal strength. The higher the percentage, the stronger the signal.
   

• The router and printer can't communicate. Power the router and printer off then on to restore communication.
   

• A firewall on your computer may be blocking the ports that communicate with the printer. Configure the firewall to allow network communication with the ports.
