Learn what to do if you see a "Cannot Scan from ADF" message on a PIXMA MX432 or MX439

If you have the Copy Intensity on your printer set to Auto adjust and you put a document in the ADF (Auto Document Feeder), you will see the message "Cannot scan from ADF."

To avoid this error message, set the Copy Intensity to Manual adjust, or place the document directly on the scanner's glass surface and copy using Auto adjust.

Here's how to do that:
  • Set the Copy Intensity to Manual adjust
  1. Make sure that the machine is turned ON.

  2. Press the Menu button.

  3. Press the Left Right left or right arrow to select Copy intensity, then press the OK button.

  4. Press the Left  Right left or right arrow to select Manual adjust, and then press the OK button.

  • Use Auto adjust
