Check to see if your router supports WPS

You do not need to know your SSID or password (network key) when using this method. If your router supports WPS, it should display the WPS symbol. For additional details, refer to your router's documentation.

Note If the timeout error screen appears, press OK, then start over from step 4.

  7. Your printer is now connected to your Wi-Fi network.

If the printer fails to connect after following the steps above

  • Try to connect again.

  • If the printer still fails to connect, unplug your wireless router for 10 seconds, then plug it back in. After it has finished rebooting, try the steps above again.

  • If the printer still fails to connect, you may have certain settings enabled in your router which would prevent the printer from connecting, such as MAC address filtering. You may need to check your router's internal settings to see if MAC address filtering or any other options would prevent the printer from wirelessly connecting.

Please refer to your router's documentation for more information.

Other connection methods

If the WPS Push Buton fails, there are several other methods to connect your printer to your wireless router:

  • Standalone

Standard Setup (Directly Enter the Network Password on the Printer)
WPS PIN Code (Refer to the Router's Documentation for Instructions on Entering a PIN Code)

  • Windows PC

Using a USB Cable and the Downloadable Driver

  • macOS®

Using a USB Cable, the CUPS Printer Driver, and the IJ Network Tool
