This function allows you to conserve battery power.
When the camera is not in use, the screen quickly darkens to reduce battery consumption.
IMPORTANT
This guide explains the procedure for setting in [Program AE] (
 ).
The configuration method for [Eco Mode] is explained below.
1. Press the power button to turn the camera on.
2. Press the <MENU> (
 ) button.
3. A screen like the one below appears.
Press the <
 ><
 > buttons to select the
 [Settings] (
 ) tab. Press the <
 ><
 > buttons to select
 [Eco Mode].
4. A screen like the one below appears.
5. Press the <

> buttons and set [Eco Mode] to
 [On].
Press the <MENU> (
) button.

 ] is now shown on the shooting screen.
The screen darkens when the camera is not used for approximately two seconds; approximately ten seconds after darkening, the screen turns off. The camera turns off after approximately three minutes of inactivity.
REFERENCE
- To activate the screen and prepare for shooting when the screen is off but the lens is still out, press the shutter button halfway.
