 Checking and Resetting the Page Counter

The roller usage counter can be checked and reset using the Roller Counter in the User Mode setting.

 

  • This counter shows the number of pages transported by the currently installed feed rollers. Make sure to reset the counter when you replace the rollers.
  • The Total Counter shows the total number of pages fed over the life of the scanner, and cannot be reset.
  1. Press the Menu key on the control panel to activate the User Mode.
     
     
  2. Press the key twice to display [Roller Counter].
     
     
  3. Check the number of pages fed by the rollers, and press [Enter].
     
    The counter reset mode is activated.
     
     
  4. Press the key to select [RESET], and press [Enter].
    The counter is reset to zero.
     
     
  5. Press the [Stop] key to exit the User Mode.

 

 Verification and Reset Using the imageFORMULA Utility

  1. Start Windows, and login as a user with administrator privileges.
     
  2. Click the "Start" button, and then select [All programs], [CANON DR-XXXX], and [Canon imageFORMULA Utility]. (XXXX depends on the model in use.)
     
    In Windows 8, the Canon imageFORMULA utility is saved to the following location
     
    The imageFORMULA utility will start.
     
     
  3. Click [Canon DR-XXXX USB], and then click "Properties". (XXXX depends on the model in use.)
    The scanner properties will be displayed.
     
  4. Click [Reset].
     
    The counter value of the "Roller in use" will be reset.
     
  5. Click [OK] to close the scanner properties.
