The reason for the error code

Possible causes may include:

  • Packing material was not fully removed
  • An ink tank may not be seated properly
  • There may be an obstruction in the paper feed path

Actions you can take


If the above actions don't work:

  1. Turn off the printer, and unplug the power cord.
  2. Plug the machine back in and turn the machine back on.
    Note: If you disconnect the power plug, all the faxes stored in the machine's memory are deleted.

If the problem is not resolved, service is required.
