Windows 8 printer drivers for this printer will be available in the Windows 8 operating system or through Windows Update.

1. From the Windows 8 main screen, begin typing the word "Printer".
2. On the right side of your screen, select "Settings".
3. Select "View devices and printers".
4. Then at the top of this window, select "Add a printer"
5. Select "The printer that I want isn't listed".
6. Select the bullet for "Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings".
7. Click Next.
8. Select the appropriate port, then click Next.
9. Choose "Canon" from the manufacturers list.
10. Then on the right side, scroll through the list of printers and select your printer model.
    
    Note:  If your printer isn't listed, then it may be necessary to click Windows Update to obtain an updated list of printers.
     
11. Once your printer is found and selected, continue through the steps as prompted on the screen.
