What to do when message 'Waiting for report' appears on an MX512

Solution

Waiting for Report

This message will appear when your printer is set to print a send (TX) report, receive (RX) report or an Activity Report and an ink cartridge is low on ink or is empty.

It is recommended to replace the empty ink cartridge. However, if you know there is plenty of ink in your ink cartridges, you can set the machine to print faxes when ink has run out.

  • Click here for instructions to replace an ink cartridge.
  • Click here for instructions to set Print when out of ink to Print option.

 Important:

  • With this option set to Print, the machine will continue to print even if there is no ink in the ink cartridge. Some printed fax documents may have streaks and may not be readable. Once printed (with or without ink on the paper), you will not be able to reprint that same document again.
