This is how to determine if you are running the 32-bit version of Windows or the 64-bit version.

Determining if you are running Windows 32-bit or 64-bit (Windows 7 / Windows 8)
Using your keyboard, hold down the Windows key. While holding that key, press the Pause/Break key.
The System Dialog box appears showing whether you are using the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows.
