Solution

About large paper options

  • Large size includes photo and plain paper in these sizes: letter, legal, A4, B5, A5, 8" x 10" (20 x 25 cm).

  • When you select one of these sizes in the print settings, your printer will automatically feed from the lower tray.

Load the lower paper tray

  1. Align the edges of the paper.

    • Curled paper edges may cause paper jams.

    • If paper is curled, it may cause surface cracks. Hold the curled corners and gently bend them in the opposite direction until the paper becomes completely flat.

    • Do not try to flatten Photo Paper Plus Semi-gloss SG-201. Instead load one sheet at a time as it is. If you roll up this paper to flatten, this may cause surface cracks on the paper and reduce the print quality.

  2. Pull out the lower paper tray.

  3. Slide the paper guides (A) and (B) to open (see image in step 4 below).

  4. Place the paper stack in the center of the paper tray with the print side facing down (3).

  5. Align the paper stack with the edge of the tray, but it should not be touching the tab (C) (see image in step 4 above).

  6. Align the front paper guide (A) with the paper stack.
Note For standard sizes, the paper guide (A) should click into place.

  7. Slide the side paper guide (B) to align with the sides of the paper stack (see image in step 6 above).

    • If the guides are too tight against the paper, paper may not feed properly.

    • Do not load sheets of paper higher than the load limit mark (D).

    • Keep the paper stack height below the tabs (E) of the paper guides.

  8. Insert the lower paper tray into the printer, pushing it until it stops.

    • Do not force the lower tray further into the printer.

When using paper larger than A4 size, the lower tray sticks out of the machine when correctly set.
