Printer not detected during Wireless LAN setup - MX522

Solution

When installing the printer on a computer, message Printer Not Detected may appear during wireless setup. There are several possible causes for this messsage.

Refer to the following list of recommendations then click on the link to open the article and resolve your issue.

Make sure the printer is turned ON and not performing another function.

Confirm the network name matches the one selected on the printer and the one on the computer.

The access point (or wireless router) and wireless printer may not be communicating. Power off and back on the access point and printer to restore communication.

The computer and access point (or wireless router) have lost connection. Restart the computer.

Firewall or Antivirus Software may be blocking the installation/detection.

The distance between the wireless access point/router may be too far. Move the printer closer to the access point/router or move the access point /router closer to the printer.
