Auto Exposure Bracketing (AEB) Using the exposure compensation setting, you can capture images at different exposure levels, and then select the optimal image later as shown in the example below. This is called AEB (Auto Exposure Bracketing) shooting. You can set your camera so that the shutter speed and aperture value are changed automatically to capture three successive shots with exposure bracketing of 3-stops in 1/3-stop increments. NOTE - AEB cannot be used with flash, [Multi Shot Noise Reduction], Creative Filters, or bulb exposures.
For details on exposure compensation, please refer to the Related Information section. Setting AEB 1. Set the cameras power switch to <ON>.  2. Press the <MENU> button to display the menu.  3. Under the [ ] tab, select [Expo.comp./AEB], then press <  >.  4. Turn the < > dial to set the AEB range. Press the <  > key to set the exposure compensation amount.  5. Press < > to set it.After you press <MENU> to exit the menu, < > the AEB range will be displayed on the LCD panel.  REFERENCE - If the AEB range exceeds 3 stops, the end of the exposure level indicator will display <
 > or <  >.
6. Focus and press the shutter button completely. The three bracketed shots will be taken according to the drive mode set in this sequence: Standard exposure, decreased exposure, and increased exposure. - Using AEB with [ ] [ ] (single shooting).
Press the shutter button three times to take the three bracketed shots. - Using AEB with [ ] [ ] ] (continuous shooting).
If you press the shutter button completely, the three bracketed shots will be taken continuously in this sequence: standard exposure, decreased exposure, and increased exposure. The shooting will then stop automatically. - Using AEB with [ ] (Self-timer: 10-sec./remote control) and [ ] (Self-timer: 2 sec./remote control).
You can take three continuous shots after a 10-sec. or 2-sec. delay. NOTE - During AEB shooting, < > in the viewfinder and < > on the LCD panel will blink.
Canceling AEB - Follow steps 3 to 5 to turn off the AEB range display.
- The AEB setting will be canceled automatically if the power is set to <OFF>, flash recycling is complete, etc.
