When a printer error occurs, a support code (error number) and a message display on the computer screen. In addition, the lamp(s) flash.
The lamps flash in one of two ways
If you can't find the appropriate error in the table below, refer to the Online Manual.
If the error isn't resolved, service is required.

- If you want to cancel printing, press the Stop button.
- Install the appropriate ink cartridge.

Check the inside of the machine. If the protective material or the tape is still attached, remove it. |

Press the Stop button to cancel printing. Change the media type or paper size setting, then print again.
Correct media settings:
- Photo Paper Plus Glossy II: Set the paper size to 4"x6" 10x15cm (Windows)/4 x 6 (Mac®), or 5"x7" 13x18cm (Windows)/5 x 7 (Mac).
- Glossy Photo Paper: Set the paper size to 4"x6" 10x15cm (Windows)/4 x 6 (Mac).
- Envelope: Set the paper size to Envelope Com 10 (Windows)/Envelope #10 (Mac) or Envelope DL (Windows/Mac).

- If you use CREATIVE PARK PREMIUM, confirm the message on the computer screen.
- Make sure that genuine Canon FINE cartridges are properly installed.
- Restart the print job.

The ink may have run out. |
The function for detecting the remaining ink level will be disabled since the ink level can't be correctly detected.
- To continue printing without this function, press the machine's Stop button for at least 5 seconds.
- Canon recommends to use new genuine Canon cartridges in order to obtain optimum qualities.
- Please be advised that Canon shall not be liable for any malfunction or trouble caused by continuation of printing under the ink out condition.

Printing can't be performed because the ink cartridge isn't properly installed or isn't compatible with the machine.
- If you want to cancel printing, press the Stop button.
- Install the appropriate ink cartridge.

- Replace the empty ink cartridge immediately after the printing. Note that the resulting print quality may not be satisfactory if printing is continued under the ink out condition.
