| Solution |
The following section describes how to play back scenes you captured.
1. Turn on the camcorder.
2. Press <  > to set the camcorder to Playback mode.
3. Look for the scene you want to play back on the Index screen.
Drag your finger left for the next index page.
Drag your finger right for the previous index page.
Display the next/previous index page.
Scenes timeline (AVCHD movies).*
* For MP4 movies, [
] (Scene information) is displayed.
REFERENCE
- To change the memory and movie format:
1. Touch

Touch to change between  ( Memory) and  (Memory Card).
* VIXIA HF R400\R500 / LEGRIA HF R406/R506: As there is no built-in memory in these models, the built-in memory option will not be displayed.
Touch to change between  (AVCHD) and  (MP4).
Touch [OK].
4. Touch the desired scene to play it back.
NOTE
- The camcorder will play back the scene selected and continue until the end of the last scene in the index screen.
- Touch the screen to display the playback controls. During playback, the playback controls will disappear automatically after a few seconds without operation. In playback pause, touch the screen again to hide the playback controls.
CAUTION
- Observe the following precautions while the ACCESS indicator is on or
flashing. Failing to do so may result in permanent data loss.
- Do not open the memory card slot cover.
- Do not disconnect the power source or turn off the camcorder.
- Do not press < >.
- You may not be able to play back with this camcorder movies recorded on a memory card using another device.
