Understand and resolve Support Code 1303 on your PIXMA printer

Solution

Follow the steps below to remove a paper jam from your PIXMA printer.

Support Code 1303 means the paper is jammed inside the printer's transport unit.

 To remove jammed paper during printing, press the Stop button to cancel print jobs before turning off the printer.

 

Remove jammed paper from the Transport unit

  1. Turn the printer off, then unplug the power cord.

  2. Stand the printer with the right side facing down.

  • When you stand the printer, confirm that the document cover is closed.

  • ​Stand the printer on a wide, flat surface such as a desk.

  • When you stand the printer, hold it securely and be careful not to hit it on a hard object.

  2. Slowly pull out the jammed paper.

    Support the printer with your hand so it doesn't fall down.

    • If the paper is rolled up and difficult to remove, find paper's edges, grasp them with both hands, and slowly pull out the paper so it doesn't tear.

    • If you can't remove the jammed paper, close the transport unit. Then return the printer to its original position and remove the paper from inside the printer.

  3. Close the transport unit.

    After you close the transport unit, put the printer back in its original position.

  4. Plug the printer back in and turn the printer on.

    All print jobs in the queue are canceled. Reprint if necessary.

Warranty Service – If you are within the 1-year manufacturer’s warranty and have your proof of purchase you are entitled to service or replacement. If you have purchased a CarePak Canon extended warranty, you may be entitled to additional options.  Please create or log into your Canon Account to obtain service.
