Description

Learn how to resolve Support Code 1303, a paper jam in the transport unity of the PIXMA MG3520, MG3522, or MG3620 printer.

Solution

If paper is jammed where you can't see it either at the paper output slot or at the front tray, you'll need to remove the paper from the transport unit in the rear.

If you can see the paper, you may want to visit paper is jammed inside the machine.

Troubleshoot Troubleshoot Support Code 1303: Paper jam inside the printer at the transport unit.

Cause

There are several reasons why paper may jam, including use of the wrong paper or paper positioned incorrectly.

Action

Follow the steps below to remove a paper jam from the transport unit in the rear of the printer.

  1. Press the Stop button to cancel any active print jobs.

  2. Turn the machine off, then unplug the power cord.

  3. Stand the machine with the right side facing down.

  4. If you can see the jammed paper at the front tray, stand the machine with the front tray open.
    Caution When you stand the machine, confirm that the document cover is closed. Hold it securely, and stand it on a wide flat surface such as a desk.

  5. If the protective material for the transport unit remains attached, remove it.

  6. Push the open lever to open the transport unit. Support the machine with your hand.

  7. Slowly pull out the jammed paper.

  8. If the paper is rolled up and difficult to remove, grasp the edges of the paper and pull slowly.

  9. If you can't remove the jammed paper, close the transport unit, put the machine back in its original position, and open the paper output cover to remove the paper.

  10. Close the transport unit and immediately return the machine to its original position.

  11. Plug the machine back in and turn it back on.

  12. Reload the paper.

  13. Your print jobs are cancelled. Reprint if needed.
