If your printer is connected to a wireless network, you can update the printer firmware remotely from your PC or mobile device.
If you don't have a wireless connection, refer to update your firmware using a USB cable.
To update your firmware follow these steps:
-
Make sure your printer and computer or mobile device are connected to a wireless network (Wi-Fi router).
-
Turn the printer on. (Don't turn the printer off during the update.)
-
Load one sheet of A4 size or Letter size plain paper into the printer.
-
Press and hold the Stop
button until the Alarm lamp blinks 15 times, then release the button.
-
The network setup information prints.

- Open a web browser on your PC or mobile device. In the address entry box of the browser, enter the text you see on the printout in the IPv4 IP Address line (for example: http://192.168.11.3).

-
The remote function starts and a menu window displays.

-
Select Firmware update, then Install update.

-
When you see Update succeeded, select OK. The firmware update is complete.
