[Printer name setting]

Specify the name of the network printer.
Enter the printer name with up to 15 single-byte alphanumeric characters or hyphens (-).
However, you cannot start or end the printer name with a hyphen (-).

[Set memory card sharing]

Specify whether the Server Message Block (SMB) function is to be enabled or disabled.
When the function is enabled, the card slot of the printer can be used as a network sharing service.
Be sure to remove the memory card before specifying this setting.

[WSD setting]

Specify whether Web Services on Devices (WSD) is to be enabled or disabled.
When this setting is enabled, the Windows Vista-based or Windows 7-based computer detects the printer automatically on the network.

[WSD timeout (in minutes)]

When WSD is enabled, specify the time until a timeout error occurs because printer processing takes too long.

[LLTD setting]

Specify whether the Link Layer Topology Discovery (LLTD) function is to be enabled or disabled.
When the function is enabled, the printer returns printer information in response to inquiries from the Windows Vista-based or Windows 7-based computer.

[Bonjour setting]

Specify whether the Bonjour function is to be enabled or disabled.
When the function is enabled, the printer is automatically detected as a Bonjour-compatible printer available on the network.

[Service name]

Specify the service name to be used when the Bonjour function is enabled.
Enter the service name with up to 48 single-byte alphanumeric characters and symbols.

[LPR service notification]

Specify if the LPR service is to be notified or not when the LPR protocol is enabled.

[LPR protocol setting]

Specify whether the Line Printer Remote (LPR) protocol is to be enabled or disabled.
When this protocol is enabled, the printer can be used via a TCP/IP network.
This setting is not available if you are using Mac OS.
