Description

This article shows the Network Configuration Top Page for your printer. You'll need your printer's IP address in order to access its Network Configuration page.

Solution

You can check the following printer information and status at the top page:

Printer Information

You can check the printer information.

[Printer Name]

Displays the model name of the connected printer.

[Firmware Version]

Displays the version of the connected printer firmware.

[Network Printer Name]

Displays the name of the network printer.

[Bonjour Service Name]

Displays the service name for Bonjour.

Status

Allows you to check the configuration information for the network connection and the communication status.

[LAN Connection Type]

Displays the effective network connection type, either wired LAN or wireless LAN.

[MAC Address]

Displays the MAC Address that was set to the printer on the wireless LAN.

[IP Address]

Displays the IP Address of the printer on the wireless LAN.

[Subnet Mask]

Displays the Subnet Mask of the printer on the wireless LAN.

[Default Gateway]

Displays the Default Gateway of the printer on the wireless LAN.

[Network Type]

Displays the Network Type of the printer on the wireless LAN.

[SSID]

Displays the SSID that was set to the printer on the wireless LAN.

[Encryption Method]

Displays the Encryption Method of the printer on the wireless LAN.

[Signal Strength]

Indicates the strength of the signal that the printer is receiving from the access point when a wireless LAN is used. The strength is indicated with a value from 0% to 100%.

[Link Quality]

Indicates the quality of the signal without the noise received through a wireless LAN. The quality is indicated with a value from 0% to 100%.

 If the value is low, move the printer closer to the access point or remove any obstacles between the printer and the access point.

[Transmission Rate]

Displays the Transmission Rate between the printer on the wireless LAN and the access point. The unit is megabits per second (Mbps).
