ECM TX

Enable / disable ECM (Error Correction Mode) when sending a fax.

1. Press the <Menu> button.
    
2. Use or to select [DATA REGSTRATION].
    
3. Press <Start/Copy>.
    
4. Use or to select [TX SETTINGS].
    
5. Press <Start/Copy>.
    
6. Use or to select [ECM TX].
    
7. Press <Start/Copy>.
    
8. Use or to change from [ON] to [OFF].
   
   Note:
   * Select [ON] to send faxes with error correction. If telephone line conditions are poor, the time to send a fax will take longer.
   * Select [OFF] to send faxes without error correction. If telephone line conditions are poor, the faxes received by the remote party may be unsatisfactory.
    
9. Press <Start/Copy>.
    
10. When you are finished, press <Stop> to return to standby mode.
