Receive mode options
Determine the receive mode that best suits your needs. From the receive mode menu, select from the following.

- Connect the supplied telephone line to the [L] jack on the copier/fax, then connect the other end of the line to the telephone jack on your wall.

- Connect the line from your telephone to the extension jack, the one marked with a handset icon.

- Connect the line from an extension phone, answering machine, or data modem to the middle jack.

On the operation panel, press the following buttons to select the appropriate receive mode.
- Press <Receive Mode> repeatedly to select the appropriate receive mode.
- Press <Start>.
The fax returns to standby mode.
