The Image Stabilizer function can be used in AF and MF focus modes

2. Press the shutter button halfway. About 1 second later, the image stabilizer turns on. Before shooting look through the viewfinder and check that the image stabilizer is operating

  • If a Custom Function has been set to change the autofocus-activating button, the image stabilizer turns on with the appropriate button.
  • If the camera is tripod mounted and the image stabilizer switch is set to the image stabilizer may function improperly. When using a tripod, make sure the images stabilizer switch is set to OFF.
  • Before taking a bulb exposure, turn off the Image Stabilizer switch
