Volume Control

This model has multiple volume control modes and settings. See the table provided below to change the appropriate volume setting.

Volume Control Description Settings
Ringer Volume Set the volume of incoming calls. The ringer, on this model, is provided by the handset. HIGH or LOW
INCOMING RING Set the fax (handset or extension phone) to ring (in FaxTel or FaxOnly mode) ON or OFF
LINE MONITOR VOL Set the volume of the line (Hook) monitor (sound during dialing). 0 (off), 1, 2 or 3
ALARM VOLUME Set the volume of the error alarm sound. 0 (off), 1, 2 or 3
KEYPAD VOLUME Set the volume of the keypad. 0 (off), 1, 2 or 3
RX CALL LEVEL Set the tone of the psuedo ring when the fax is in FaxTel Mode. STANDARD or HIGH
Telephone Messages Set the volume of the telephone messages (incoming, memo, outgoing). N/A
Handset Speaker Set the volume heard on the handset. HIGH or LOW
CALLING VOLUME Set the volume of the ring produced when the fax detects a voice call during FAX/TEL switchover. 1, 2 or 3

INCOMING RING

  1. Press <Function>. [DATA REGSTRATION] will appear on the display.

  2. Press <Start/Copy>.

  3. Press [<] or [>] to select [RX SETTINGS].

  4. Press <Start/Copy>.

  5. Press [<] or [>] to select [INCOMING RING].

  6. Press <Start/Copy>.

  7. Press [<] or [>] to select [ON].

  8. Press <Start/Copy> to save the changes.

  9. Press <Stop> to return to standby mode (date and receive mode will appear).

LINE MONITOR, ALARM and KEYPAD VOLUME

  1. Press <Function>. [DATA REGSTRATION] will appear on the display.

  2. Press <Start/Copy> twice. [DATE & TIME] will appear on the display.

  3. Press [<] or [>] to select [VOLUME CONTROL].

  4. Press <Start/Copy>.

  5. Press [<] or [>] to select from the following.

    [LINE MONITOR VOL]

    [ALARM VOLUME]

    [KEYPAD VOLUME]

  6. Press <Start/Copy>.

  7. Press [<] or [>] to select the settings from [0] to [3].
    [0] is the same as off.

  8. Press <Start/Copy> to save the changes.

  9. Press <Stop> to return to standby mode (date and receive mode will appear).

RX CALL LEVEL

  1. Press <Function>. [DATA REGSTRATION] will appear on the display.

  2. Press <Start/Copy> twice. [DATE & TIME] will appear on the display.

  3. Press [<] or [>] to select [RX CALL].

  4. Press <Start/Copy>.

  5. Press [<] or [>] to select from the following.

    [STANDARD]

    [HIGH]

  6. Press <Start/Copy> to save the changes.

  7. Press <Stop> to return to standby mode (date and receive mode will appear).

  1. Press <Play>.

  2. While the message is playing, press [<] or [>] to change the volume as desired.

To adjust the volume of the ringer and speaker, use a pen or other pointed object to move these switches to HIGH or LOW.

  2. Press <Start/Copy> twice. [DATE & TIME] will appear on the display.

  3. Press [<] or [>] to select [VOLUME CONTROL].

  4. Press <Start/Copy>.

  5. Press [<] or [>] to select [CALLING VOLUME].

  6. Press <Start/Copy>.

  7. Press [<] or [>] to select the settings from [1] to [3].

  8. Press <Start/Copy> to save the changes.

  9. Press <Stop> to return to standby mode (date and receive mode will appear).
