Fan Paper Thoroughly

Fan paper prior to inserting it into the Automatic Sheet Feeder (ASF).

1. Remove any remaining paper from the ASF.
   
   
   
   

2. Fan out the sheets of paper so that they do not stick together.
   
   
3. Align the edges of the paper.
   
   
   
   
4. Insert the stack face up into the multi-purpose tray [1], and align the right edge of the stack with the right side of the multi-purpose tray.
   
   
5. Slide the paper guide [2] snugly against the left edge of the stack.
   
   
   
   Note: Be careful not to press the paper guide strongly against the stack, or the paper will not be fed properly.
   
   
6. If an error message appears on the display, press <STOP> to clear the error.
