Jams in the ADF

To print, remove any documents from the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).
If you cannot easily remove the document from the top, hold down the <Start/Copy> for a few seconds. (See below for details.)

When a document jams or misfeeds in the ADF, either <OPEN COVER> and <SEE FIG. 1> are displayed on the LCD.

Note: You do not need to unplug the fax when clearing document jams.

1. Press <Stop/Reset> button.
   
   
2. Hold down <Start/Copy> for a few seconds.
   The document will be fed out automatically.
   
   
3. If the document is not fed out, gently pull the document out of the fax.
