Unable to Fax and "Performing a job. Wait a moment." or "Memory Full." appears

Solution

A new firmware has been posted to the Canon USA website. This fix resolves a problem that, in rare cases, causes a memory full message to be displayed, and subsequent sending to be prevented, when sending a fax.

1. Click the red arrow in front of Firmware then click the file name to begin the download process.

 

2. Click "I Agree - Begin Download".

3. Enter your serial number when prompted and click "Submit".

4. Click "Save", then specify a save location. Note the save location, you will need it later.

 

5. Once the download is complete, browse to the save location and double click the download to extract. A new folder will be created in the same location. A PDF in this folder contains complete instructions for updating the firmware.
