Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) driver.

1. Place a document face-down on the platen glass.
   
   
2. In the application, select the command to scan a document ('Import', 'Acquire image' etc.).
   
   
   
   
3. Select the scanner driver, depending on the software in use.
   
   NOTES:
   * Windows XP: It is possible to use the ScanGear MP (TWAIN) or the WIA driver as the scanner driver.
   * To use the WIA driver, select 'WIA-Canon MPxxx' (xxx indicates your machine name).
   * To use ScanGear MP, select 'Canon MPxxx' (xxx indicates your machine name).
   
   
4. Click 'Scan'.
   
   
   
   
   
   
5. After scanning is finished, the scanned image is displayed in the image display area of the application.
   
   
   
   
6. Scanning is completed.
