Interface cables supported by the printer

The interface cable is the connecting cable between a printer and the computer to transfer data.

• Print job data and maintenance commands are sent from the computer to the printer.
• The device's status is sent to the computer from the printer.
• The printer must be used with a standard USB cable connected directly between the computer and the printer.
  
  
  Note:  USB operation can only be guaranteed on a PC with pre-installed Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Me, Windows 98 or on a Macintosh series computer equipped with USB interface on which Mac OS X v.10.2.1 or later can operate.
