If you've waited until the print, scan or fax (if applicable for your model) job has completed and you are certain there are no more jobs to complete, disconnect the interface (data) cable and power cord to power off the device.

1. After all jobs have completed and you are certain there are no more pending jobs, disconnect the interface (parallel or USB) cable from the device.
   
   
2. If the model is fax capable, disconnect the telephone line cord from the device.
   
   
3. Disconnect the power cord (also referred to as adapter) from the device.
   
   
4. Shut down the computer.
   
   
5. Wait for approximately ten seconds and then reconnect the power cord.
   
   
6. Once the device has powered back on, press <ON/OFF> to confirm the device will power off.
   
   
7. If the device powers off, press <ON/OFF> to power the device back on.
   
   
8. Reconnect the interface cable (and telephone line cord - if applicable) to the device.
   
   
9. Turn on the computer.
