Change the Select Source option to 'Platen'

ScanGear

In the Advanced Mode of ScanGear, under Input Settings, click the down arrow next to Select Source and select 'Platen'.
 

Toolbox

This is using the Save button as an example.

Click the down arrow next to Select Source and select 'Platen'.
