Recording Movies on a Memory Card - Elura 40MC and Elura 50
You can record Motion JPEG movies to a memory card with the camcorder itself, from a tape in the camcorder or from devices connected via the DV or AV terminal. The sound of a movie recorded on a memory card will be monaural. The sampling sequence will be 16kHz.
- Do not turn off the camcorder, change the position of the TAPE/CARD switch, disconnect the power source, open the memory card cover or remove the memory card while the card access indicator is flashing. Doing so could result in data damage.
- When you are using a SD Memory Card, make sure that the protect switch is set to allow recording.
- Do not load/unload a tape during recording. Sound will not be recording during this operation.

- Make sure a memory card with enough memory available is inserted into the camcorder.
- The sound of a movie recorded on a memory card will be monaural.

- Turn the POWER switch to CAMERA.
- Move the TAPE/CARD switch to CARD ().
- For using the self-timer, set the self-timer before step 3, and then press the <START/STOP> button.
- Press the START/STOP button to begin recording.
- You can record up to 10 seconds in 320 x 240 and 30 seconds in 160 x 120.
- Press the start/stop button to stop recording.
- The camcorder starts to write the movie to the memory card when recording is finished.
