Print using BCI-15 BK only (Windows XP)

Instructions to print using only the BCI-15e BK ink tank only. Using grayscale alone does not provide this option and the color inks will still be used. By following this procedure the customer may print using only the BCI-15 BK ink tank.

Note: Image quality will be sacraficed when printing photographs and graphics.

1. Open the Properties window for the printer.
   
   
2. Click on the Main tab.
   
   
3. Select 'Plain Paper' as the Media Type.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Select the box for 'Grayscale Printing'.
   
   
   
   
5. Click 'OK' to save the changes.

The printer will now only use the BCI-15 BK ink tank.

Caution: These settings will now be the default settings. The settings can be made temporarily by adjusting the settings through the printing application or by saving the settings as a Profile to be recalled at a later time.
