  • Mac OS X® (10.5.8 and earlier) - Follow the steps below.

  • Mac OS X® (later than 10.5.8) - If you use a printer with a CUPS printer driver and run this version of Mac, refer to open the IJ Print Utility.


Open the IJ Printer Utility (Mac OS X 10.5.8 and earlier)

  1. Turn on your printer.

  2. Open Applications, Utilities, and double-click the Printer Setup Utility icon. If you use Mac OS X 10.5.x, from the Apple menu select System Preference.

  3. From System Preferences open Print & Fax.

  4. From the Print & Fax window, select Open Print Queue. If your Mac OS X version is older than 10.3.x, double-click Print Center.

    Note The name of the Printer Setup Utility varies according to the Mac OS X version.

  5. In the Printer List, select your printer name, then select Utility in the toolbar.

  6. Select the printer name you are using in the Printer List, then select Maintenance.

  7. The IJ Printer Utility launches.
