Set Background Printing (Windows)

Solution

Use Background Printing (Windows)

Create your own letterhead and personal stationary by printing personalized images in the background. The driver includes several standard background images but you can add new ones as you wish by registering them with the driver (as bitmap files only).

Note: The Background Printing function is not available when any of the following functions or options is selected:

  • Grayscale Printing

  • Background Printing is disabled (In Windows Me or Windows 98)

It is easy to confirm whether background printing is in progress. Open the printer driver's Properties dialog box, select Page Setup and click 'Printer Control'.

  1. Select the command you use to perform printing from the program you are using. (In general, select 'Print' on the File menu to open the Print dialog box.)

  2. From the application's Print screen, make sure your printer is selected and select 'Preferences' or 'Properties' for the printer.

  3. Click the Page Setup tab.

  4. At the bottom of the page, click the Stamp/Background button.

  5. To specify the 'Background Printing' settings, select the check box labeled 'Background'

  6. Select the Background you wish to print.

  7. Select the 'Background first page only' check box to print background only on the first page of document.

  8. Click 'OK', and then click 'OK' on the next screen.
